Philly Rapper Dmnq Lndn Releases Video For Fever

Bio:

DMNQ LNDN, Born Dominique London, is a global citizen but was born and bred in Philadelphia. She spent most of her childhood immersing herself in the musical arts. Her voice began to take shape in her grandmother’s church choir and she quickly began to learn to play instruments such as the piano and the trumpet.
It wasn’t until her years in middle school that DMNQ LNDN began to listen to Hip Hop and write her own lyrics. At 14, she participated in open mics around the city, including the famous Black Lily where many Philadelphia greats, such as Jill Scott, and The Roots, found their stardom.  By 16, DMNQ LNDN had competed in the Source Magazine’s unsigned Hype contest where she effortlessly destroyed 98 out of 100 emcees. She made such an impression on the rap scene that Damon Williams of the Philadelphia Daily News wrote an article about her.
In 2007, she graduated with a dual degree in English Literature and Communications and traveled abroad for many years. Now that she is stateside again, she is making musical waves working on an experimental sound much different from anything ever heard in mainstream music. Her album, “Medusa,” is due to drop early this fall.
